How many times have I heard the expression "I am escaped with the skin of my teeth" and I just noticed it is a bible quote. Everything worthwhile seems to come from there!
Once I made an effort to comfort a terminally ill friend with this bible quote from Job 19:25-27
It says... my redeemer liveth, ...though... worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
It seems the thought of being eaten by worms isn't a comforting thought! Go figure?
